I'm back. With news. And gifts (skip to the end if you just want the gifts). What do you want to hear first, the bad news, or the good news? You will be surprised about which is which. We'll start with the bad...
Wondering why my guitar and I seem to be miles apart and we never spend any time together? Because I have radial nerve palsy in my right hand. This means that my right wrist has essentially been unusable for like a month. But this week it has gotten a lot better and it's almost completely back to normal so I will be playing guitar again before you know it! Yay!
The good news? I am no longer in any sort of association with Midwest Star Records, Midwest Star Talent Agency or any of its affiliated companies. As much as I appreciated all of the opportunities I got while I was with them and all of the wonderful venues I got to play, it was time for me to move on. And NO this DOES NOT mean I was dropped from the label. If you have any questions about the superspecifics, just shoot me a message. I want to pursue a music career in a way that allows me to showcase who I am as an artist and a person. I am also back in school, so it's very difficult for me to make music my number one priority at the current moment. But that doesn't mean I won't still be singing and making music! I want to share a ton of new stuff with all of you and let you see the kind of artist I've been wanting to be this whole time! I am going to be sharing my songs with you, playing at a lot more venues and showing you the real me. Thank you to everybody who has stuck around through the times when there was nothing to check on, look at, listen to or watch and get ready for the new Rachael Mae to tear it up :)
